A Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is an individual who optimizes the performance of a facility, building, or industrial plant. CEMs include professionals specializing in buildings and systems upgrades, owners and managers interested in how energy savings can finance their next project, and professionals interested in energy efficiency projects. By the end of this training, you will be prepared to take the CEM exam.
This four-day training will cover:
Body of Knowledge and Study Guide
Practice questions, helpful content videos, and other free resources
The cost of this event includes the CEM examination. Attendees are encouraged to complete a pre-application for either the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Exam or the Energy Manager in Training (EMIT) Exam. If an applicant doesn’t meet one of the CEM eligibility criteria, they can still apply for the Energy Manager In-Training certification, EMIT. The EMIT certification is valid for six years, which allows applicants time to meet the full CEM certification eligibility requirements. Anyone who misses the September 25th deadline for the application submittal can still take the exam, but will need to complete an application waiver form on exam day, and then submit the CEM or EMIT application at a later date. We encourage all students to submit the application ahead of time so they can be pre-approved for the certification. You will need to have a user profile through AEE's web portal to be able to apply.
